About Pickled Beet
Greetings! I’m Angela.
Food is my passion. It is universal, emotional, communal, ritualistic, and vital. Food nourishes our body, mind, and soul. Eat well, and you can maximize your energy and vitality so you can live the life that inspires and excites you!
How I got started
My own story starts after my second baby was born. Like all moms, I wanted to lose the baby weight and looked to traditional diet programs to help. What I found was that these programs only told part of the “nutritional story.” I started reading more about macro-nutrients, and just what those ingredients on food labels mean. The more I read, the more I changed my family’s diet. As a result, I started to see real health improvements in myself, and in my family. I began to lose pounds and feel better. It was then I realized that it wasn’t about the quantity of what we were eating as much as it was about the quality.
How I can help you
I am a Certified Holistic Nutritionist. It is my passion to help busy folks learn how to achieve optimum health. I can teach you how to choose foods that give you the best nutritional value, that both taste amazing AND make you feel great! There’s a phrase “Dis-moi ce que tu manges, je te dirai ce que tu es” which, loosely translated means: “You are what you eat.” It’s evident that there’s a distinct relationship between what we feed our body and how our body feels.
Let’s explore your personal situation, and get you on the path to health and wellness! Let me help you make your world a better place!
My mission
The mission of Pickled Beet is to promote healthy lifestyle habits and optimum health. I do this by educating others about holistic nutrition, and motivating others by designing individual and personal health programs using whole foods.
After many wonderful years supporting folks here in Portland and beyond with their nutrition and wellness goals, I’m making a gentle shift in my practice.
I’m no longer open to the general public and won’t be accepting new inquiries through the website anymore.
I’m still happily working with a small handful of clients, but only on a personal, invitation-only basis. Every new client connection now starts with meeting in person first — that face-to-face time helps us both see if we’re a great fit to work together.
Wishing you continued health and happiness.
Angela
